Best of the Area is the Iowa City Press-Citizen's annual citizen vote on the best aspects of the greater Iowa City/Coralville area.

This year, we have expanded voting to more than 60 categories, ranging from restaurants and food to shopping and senior activities.

When you hear the words “all you can eat,” it’s time to belly up to the trough at the Old Country Buffet. A permanent fixture at the Coral Ridge Mall since it opened in 1998, the Old Country Buffet often has a line out the door. With a huge range of food options on any given night, it’s a great place to go when no one can agree on where to go.
