Another year, another victory for Midtown Family Restaurant as the area's favorite family-friendly place to eat. The two Midtowns in town cater to all ages, but are particularly popular with the senior set. It’s famous comfort food is largely hand made, with staff breading the onion rings and tenderloins, hand cutting the chicken-fried steak and making its own brown gravy and mashed potatoes. The place is really hopping on hand-breaded shrimp night, available the third Friday of the month at the Scott Court location and the first Friday of the month at the Highway 1 location.
