After starting from scratch in a brand new building on Iowa City's east side, Blackstone has become a fast favorite among Best of the Area voters, winning the best restaurant category as well as winning runner up in several others. Blackstone is half bar, half restaurant with a healthy separation between the two. It serves mostly American fare with a great selection of flatbread pizzas and their famous baked mac and cheese.
