The way the weather has been the past couple of winters, perhaps we should change this category to “Best place to take the kids on a snow day.” Either way, residents voted the Iowa Children’s Museum one of the best places indoors for kids to be kids, and maybe actually learn a thing or two. A recently completed permanent exhibit, Take Flight, just opened, and families can enjoy free entry on Family Free Fridays the last Friday of each month.
