Best of the Area

Best of the Area is the Iowa City Press-Citizen's annual citizen vote on the best aspects of the greater Iowa City/Coralville area.

This year, we have expanded voting to more than 60 categories, ranging from restaurants and food to shopping and senior activities.

In the age of iTunes, we were surprised at the number of votes cast in our new record store category. (What is a “record,” anyway?) But music aficionados quickly gravitated to Record Collector, which has also kept up with the times with virtual storefronts at Amazon, GEMM and eBay.
