Best of the Area

Best of the Area is the Iowa City Press-Citizen's annual citizen vote on the best aspects of the greater Iowa City/Coralville area.

This year, we have expanded voting to more than 60 categories, ranging from restaurants and food to shopping and senior activities.

Hickory Hill Park

Entrances on North Dodge Street and at First Avenue.

Whereas City Park is the voters’ choice for a developed, urban city park, you can’t beat Hickory Hill Park’s more wild, unspoiled hiking trails. The park is an island of wilderness surrounded by urban life and is popular with nature lovers and families.
