Best of the Area

Best of the Area is the Iowa City Press-Citizen's annual citizen vote on the best aspects of the greater Iowa City/Coralville area.

This year, we have expanded voting to more than 60 categories, ranging from restaurants and food to shopping and senior activities.

Chicago

With a huge chunk of University of Iowa students hailing from the suburbs of the Windy City, and with the burg just a quick 4 or 5 hour drive away, it’s no wonder voters picked Chicago as the best weekend getaway.
