Best of the Area

Best of the Area is the Iowa City Press-Citizen's annual citizen vote on the best aspects of the greater Iowa City/Coralville area.

This year, we have expanded voting to more than 60 categories, ranging from restaurants and food to shopping and senior activities.

The Vine’s award-winning Buffalo wings flew up and snatched the top prize for best wings. They come in 10 different flavors, mild, medium, hot, superhot, Smoky Mountain barbecue, maple hot, maple barbecue, Bourbon teriyaki, Asian garlic and spicy garlic, all served with ranch dip and celery, and served at both the vine-covered Iowa City location and on the Coralville Strip, where the hard-hit restaurant recently came back from the Flood of 2008.
