How do I digitize my pictures?
If you have a scanner, scan in your image at 200 dpi, save it as a jpeg, and submit it at fryfest.com.
If you don't have a scanner handy, you have a few options:
Locally:
Any kind of copy shop (e.g. Kinko's/FedEx, Zephyr, CopyWorks) will have scanners available for your use and, ideally, a staff member who can guide you in the process.
Make sure to take a CD-R or a flash drive. Scan the image at 200 dpi and save it as a jpeg onto the CD-R/flash drive. When you get home, transfer the scanned image from your CD-R/flash drive to your hard drive, then submit the photo to us at fryfest.com.
Nationally:
Want to get a scanned image without the hassle of actually using a scanner? Try scancafe.com or digmypics.com.
Send in your photos, where they'll be scanned by professionals for as low as 24 cents a photo. The original photos will then be sent back to you, and the scanned images will be on a DVD (note: at digmypics.com, you have the option of getting them back on a CD instead). Copy the scanned image from the CD or DVD onto your hard drive, then submit the photo to fryfest.com.
Ok, I'm ready to submit my pictures!
